The audience must observe the work unfold before it and listen to its whirling sounds. The clay begins to buckle near the bottom and eventually yields to the onslaught.
The original idea for the work was to be a site-specific installation at ONE Archives Los Angeles, which is the oldest LGBT archive in America. In the homage, Cassils replaces Benglis's double-ended phallus with her own. The result is a series empowering images that represent trans representation.
